go to the doctor for inspection every two years. Children and pensioners should have a check every year;

work and write in sufficient light;

the eyes should reste at least 30 minutes when you read, when you use the computer or when you look at distant objects;

use the eye protection when you work with caustic chemicals substances, wood or powerful machines;

use the special glasses for sports where you could hurt your eyes;

wear the sunglasses when you need;

use the goggles in the pool or other water whose purity is questionable.

It’s not recommended:

don’t look at the sun directly, as you might be tempted to do it during eclipses. Even when the sun can affect the eye;

Do not wipe your eyes with your hands trying to remove a foreign object. Blink and wash your eyes with cold water. If you can’t see, consult a doctor.

Some foods that help you keep your eyes healthy are: spinach, cabbage, leeks, avocados, peaches and blueberries. Cold water fish such as tuna, mackerel, sardines are excellent sources of omega-3 recommended for eye health.

Do not skip sleep hours
